Garden of the Angels
The Garden of the Angels was established in 1960 as a community service for families who suffered the loss of an infant.
Unfortunately, even in today's world of advance medicine and technology some infants do not survive. At the time of a
death most people have no idea of services and interment options available. We have found that especially when an infant
passes, families are completely unprepared both mentally and financially and indeed do need guidance. The Garden of the
Angels program provides this support and guidance. Our professional staff has the proper training to take a family step
by step through the entire funeral and burial process. The Garden of the Angels program provides a free burial space
valued at $500.00 to infants who are in the third trimester (26 weeks) up to six months of age. The families must be
Charles County residents and have documentation of the infant's age.
What to do when a death occurs:
- Call Trinity Memorial Gardens to arrange a meeting with a counselor.
- Total funeral and burial arrangements can be made at our Waldorf Office.
- Assemble and bring proof of residence and age of infant.
- Write down your thoughts and wishes concerning the service so as no to overlook any details.
Also make a list of any questions you want to discuss.
Cost assumed by families:
- Trinity Memorial Gardens is a perpetual care cemetery and Maryland State Law requires that for each space sold
monies are to be placed in the Perpetual Care Fund. Perpetual Care Cost is $50.00. The opening and closing
for an infant burial site is $250.
- In order for the infant to be interred in the state of Maryland it is required that the remains be placed in a casket/vault
combination which we provide, depending on size, starting at $350.00 to $599.00.
We are very grateful for the opportunity to help families in their utmost time of need.
