Meet Sadie!
Hi, my name is Sadie and I am a five year old AKA black Labrador retriever. I am a good natured, gentle, and loving dog who lives on a farm with lots of wide open running spaces right here in Southern Maryland. I live there with my family and my brother EB who is also a Labrador retriever.
Because I enjoy being with people, I am being trained to be a specialized therapy dog who will help others in their effort to cope with loss and grief during a difficult time of their lives.
My job is to bring a smile to those who really need one, and to be a friend who helps them feel better, and hopefully feel a little less sad. My training will help me sense those who need my help the most so I can brighten their day and get them through a trying time of their life.
My training starts in October and I will be certified by early 2012. I invite you to be there and follow my progress as I go thru my training. I am excited to become a therapy dog that will make a real difference in people’s lives when they need help the most.
