A Special Holiday Remembrance Tree
Service Set for December 19, 2009

Ring in this special holiday season with TRINITY MEMORIAL GARDENS and MAUSOLEUM by participating in the Christmas Tree of Remembrance. Join us for our dedication on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
The Christmas Tree of Remembrance is a way families can remember and honor loved ones during the holiday season while contributing to a good cause. A $6.00 donation places a ribbon with the name of a deceased loved one on the tree.
Ribbons will be placed on the Christmas Tree of Remembrance located in the center of the cemetery.
The service will be held in The Chapel of Hope. Proceeds this year will be donated to the Charles County Chapter of the American Red Cross disaster relief program.
Ribbons can be purchased at the office any time before 4:30 p.m. on December 19th .
REMEMBERING OUR PETS
Friendship Pet Memorial Park will sponsor a Pet Christmas Tree of Remembrance on December 19, 2009. Ribbons are $6.00 and will be placed on the Holly tree at the center of the Garden. All proceeds will be donated to The Humane Soc2ty of Charles County.
A True American Hero

Gerald W. Hutchinson was awarded the American Hero title during the annual Memorial Day Services held at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hutchinson won the award as a result of his daughter's essay entitled "My Dad Is an American Hero". Mr. Hutchinson turns 90 this year and served in the United States Army from 1941 - 1945.
During his tour in Europe he was captured by Germans and was a prisoner of war for six months. Mr. Hutchinson was awarded several medals during his service including The Purple Heart, The Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Medal, and The World War ll Victory Ribbon. Mrs. Manual, Director, of Trinity Memorial Gardens stated, Mr. Hutchinson is a great patriot and it is a privilege to be able to recognize such an outstanding American. In addition to being the honored guest at the service he received $100.00 and a $100.00 donation to be made in his name to The American Fallen Heroes Charity. After the service a luncheon was held by The Edwin Adams Post #293 where Mr. Hutchinson received a Certificate of Appreciation.
