It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Wesley Alan Janes, “Wes”, a beloved son, brother, best friend, and uncle. Wesley was a person whose love and kindness knew no bounds. His life was a testament to the power of empathy, and he gave more than he ever took from this world. His laughter was contagious, his sense of humor endless, and his presence a source of joy for all who knew him. Wesley’s family and friends were blessed to experience the depth of his unwavering love. He was not just a brother and uncle—he was a guiding light, constant source of comfort and endless strength. To those who were fortunate enough to call him family, he was more than just kin; he was the heart of the family. His protective nature and unyielding loyalty made him a pillar of strength in their lives, always offering a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen. Wesley's bond with his loved ones was profound, and he always made sure they knew how much they were loved and cherished. As a friend, Wesley had an unparalleled gift of making everyone feel important. His humor and warmth were magnetic, and he never hesitated to lend a helping hand. No one could walk away from a conversation with him without a smile on their face, and his ability to bring laughter and light into any room will be remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing in his joy. Wesley was the kind of person who left an imprint on your heart—his presence was a blessing, and his absence will leave an irreplaceable void. When he wasn’t spending time with his loved ones, Wesley was playing with his dog Waffles, or on his next adventure in the great outdoors. His passion for hunting and fishing was only rivaled by his deep appreciation of the beauty of the wilderness. The outdoors was where he felt most at peace, surrounded by beauty and serenity. Whether he was casting a line in a quiet stream or trekking through the woods, Wesley reveled in the simple pleasures nature provided, always in awe of the world around him. His adventurous spirit and love for exploration was contagious, and many cherished the memories made in the wilderness alongside him. Wesley’s life was cut extremely short but it was well-lived, filled with love, laughter, dancing, and countless moments of joy. His legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing him, and his memory will continue to inspire kindness, empathy, and love. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the incredible person he was and the profound impact he had on all who crossed his path. Wesley may no longer walk among us, but his spirit, love, and laughter will forever live on in our hearts. As he is now reunited with his grandma, mama, and sisters in heaven, their love will surround him, and he will continue to watch over us from above. Wesley is survived by his grandfather Vincent Janes, father, Vincent Janes Sr.; his siblings and their spouses/significant others: Shannon Janes & Tyler Compton, Teresa & Brandon Donley, Vincent Janes Jr. & Kalea Rhodes, Samantha Janes & Brandon Trivers, Ricky Janes & Zoey Pittman, and Nicholas Janes; and many other loving aunts,uncles, and cousins, including but not limited to: The Powers family, Marjorie, Mark, and Matthew, and Nicholas Chaconas. The Men Who Guided His Firsts; Father Figures and Outdoor Mentors: Billy Settle, Mark Settle, and Tyler Compton. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Adelina Compton, Vincent Janes, Jackson Janes, Levi Janes, Caiden Bridgett, and Landon Bridgett. Wesley is survived by many close friends and loved ones, including but not limited to: Jamison MacNaughton and family, the Pittman family, the Payne family, Devin Knott and family, many regulars of Extreme Kleen Car Wash, and most of all, his Fellowship Church family. Also his best friend, Nathaniel Trivers. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Marjorie Janes, Edna Settle; grandfather, William Settle; mother, Diane Janes; and sisters, Sarah Janes, Stephanie Janes, and Christa Janes.
