Jacqueline Speer Livengood, 88, died June 8, 2022. Jackie was born on December 3, 1933, in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania. She is proceeded in death by her parents Robert Speer and Louise Keiss; brothers Robert Speer and Sandy Speer, husband Joseph Samuel Livengood and son Dewayne Livengood. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Engler (Mike), grandchildren Melissa Wise (Ben), Chad Engler (Tricia), Aaron Livengood (Christie) and seven great-grandchildren. Jackie married Joseph Samuel Livengood on December 27,1952. Jackie and Joe lived in Pennsylvania for the first few years of marriage. They then moved to Maryland where Joe found work as a bricklayer and Jackie as a housewife. Eventually both Joe and Jackie became the managers of the Bryans Road Trailer Park. Joe was not sure he wanted to do this job, but Jackie was determined they could handle and juggle the responsibilities. Jackie enjoyed helping people find their home in the park and found pleasure in speaking with and meeting so many people over the years. She also treasured building many ever lasting relationships. Jackie was a loving housewife and mother. She was the glue for the family. She kept everything running like a well-oiled machine. Her dedication to her family, her job as manager and supporting the community by volunteering when she could, were her amazing strengths. On a loving note, Jackie always made sure Kim had the whitest majorette uniform and boots for her baton twirling marching parades. She would clean Dewayne’s trumpet before every high school band performance. Jackie made sure she packed a lunch every morning for Joe before he left for work and had a hot meal on the table when he returned home. Jackie had a few personal interests as well. She enjoyed liquid embroidery, playing bingo and coloring in coloring books. She enjoyed crafts with Joe. He would pour the molds for the ceramics and Jackie would paint them. She loved her flowers in the yard and listening to her wind chimes when sitting on her porch. Jackie had a stubborn streak which her daughter says brought her strength to survive after the deaths of her husband and son. Even though at times her stubbornness brought frustration, it even brought laughter. Jackie loved her grandchildren so very much. Kim says Jackie was crazy excited to be a grandma. Her endless love for them was unlike anything else in her life. And, even though she did not get to meet all of her great-grandchildren, she never stopped talking or thinking about them. She had many friends who helped her to manage her day-to-day life. Jackie's daughter Kim would like to acknowledge and thank the following people for the support, help and love they showed her mom. Margaret Barnard, Kevin Hagey, Leona Conner, Kathy Woods, Kurt Woods, Daniel Wood, John Wood and John Chase. Another shout out to Dave Gleason - Jackie enjoyed the weekly Monday morning meetings and talks and stories they shared. And finally, a special thanks to Jim Pailthorpe for his continuous support and faith in her through all the years with managing the trailer park. To all the above, your never-ending love for Jackie never went unnoticed and will forever be appreciated and remembered by her family. Without all of you her life would have been empty, lonely and tough. We all have to laugh at her funny nicknames she would call certain people like Kevin....aka "#@$#head". Haha! She loved it when Daniel would cook on the grill. When John would come help her catch a mouse. She loved bingo with Kathy. Going shopping and talks with Margaret. And her conversations and joking with Kevin and the caring attitude from Leona. And finally, she loved and appreciated John Chase for his endless support and making sure she made it to her appointments and the love he shared with her for her son. Jackie also loved her pets like kids. She almost went overboard with spoiling and pampering them. But that was her personality. She loved them so much she had them buried in the same cemetery to be close to them when this day came. After the death of her husband and son, Jackie appeared tired, her health began to go downhill and her excitement for life dwindled. However, Jackie's faith in God was always strong. Jackie attended Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Bryans Road and was thankful for every moment she and Joe shared in the church. In closing, Jackie's daughter Kim hopes her mom is dancing to Elvis music with Joe, watching a Washington football game with her son Dewayne and laughing at him harassing his friend John Chase when they played the Dallas Cowboys. And finally, Kim hopes her mom is listening to Frank Sinatra sing, "I DID IT MY WAY", because she sure lived her life her way. The family will receive friends at the funeral on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:30 AM until time of funeral service at 12:30 PM Internment Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland. Pallbearers: Mike Engler, Chad Engler, Kevin Nagey, Dave Gleason, John Chase and Kurt Woods.
