JACQUELYN JENNIFER STANBACK age 74 of Brandywine, Maryland. Jacquelyn Jennifer Stanback was born on July 20, 1947, in Roxboro, North Carolina to the late Jasper and Lillie Mae Cameron and was the oldest of three children. She was in the care of Hospice of Charles County in Waldorf Maryland when she was called home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2022. Jacquelyn, known to most as Jackie, grew up in Washington DC starting from a very young age. She attended school there and graduated from Eastern High School, where she was popular and known for her majorette talents. Jackie married Ira Jefferson in 1965 and 2 children were born from this union. She then went on to work for the Federal Government for many years, working her way up the ladder from a Secretary to a Paralegal. She received numerous certifications during her work career and retired from the FDIC in 2002. After retiring, Jackie earned her Real Estate License and worked in this field for several years. She worked until the age of seventy, when she decided to resign from the work force to have more time to volunteer for various church ministries. Jackie proclaimed her life to the Lord at an early age. She joined New Hope Church of God and loved working in Hope’s Clothes Closet, teaching Vacation Bible School and attending Wednesday and Saturday prayer as well as working with countless other ministries. She was a proud member of the Seasoned Saints and enjoyed attending various activities and participating in the numerous missions the ministry performed. Her commitment was unlimited until her health prevented her attendance. She loved working at New Hope Church of God and cherished praising the Lord. She loved to read her bible, praying for and with others, and spending time with family. She was a loving and carrying mother, family member and friend. Jackie loved her church family and would pray and speak to them each day which gave her immense joy. Jackie was also an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling and proofreading. Her favorite flower to plant were roses which she named after each of her loved ones that had gone home to be with the Lord. Her favorite destination for traveling was to the beach and the Lord blessed her to go to Ocean City Beach in October of 2021. She loved reading and editing other people’s work and was overjoyed to assist Sister Janice Freeman in getting her new book “Joe” published earlier this year. Her life and memory will be cherished by two daughters; Shawn Scott and Angerlyn Johnson, two sons-in-law; Gregory Scott and Dale Johnson, one sister; Joyce Cameron, one brother; Jasper Cameron, four grandchildren; Shealee Scott, Dale Johnson Jr, Keith Johnson and Braelyn Johnson, one great grandchild; Braydon Stevenson, one stepson; Pierre Edwards, honorary adopted children, James Dail, Odessa Dail, Joyce Johnson, Michelle Grant, Romy Scott, Aaron Bell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
