Ann Shirley Wayman's Obituary
Ann “Shirley” Wayman, 79, of Waldorf, MD, passed away on September 2, 2023 at the Morningside House of St. Charles, with both her sons by her side.
Shirley was born on July 2, 1944, in Rome, NY to the late Pauline I. (Earnest) and James F. Wayman.
Shirley retired from the Federal Government where she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed going to thrift stores, and antique shopping. She took great pride in and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Maureen Wayman and daughter in-law Jane Wittmann.
She is survived by her sons; Christopher B. Fitch of La Plata, MD, and Andrew P. Fitch and wife Melinda Fitch of La Plata, MD; grandson; Zachary A. Fitch of La Plata, MD; brothers; Richard Wayman and wife Sandra Wayman of King George, VA, and James Wayman and wife Cathy Wayman of Baraboo, WI; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Services and private inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shirley’s name are asked to be sent to Humane Society of Charles County, 71 Industrial Park Drive, Waldorf, MD 20602, or American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
