On June 6, 2025, Anthoula Chakales, beloved wife of the late John Peter Chakales; devoted mother of Peter Chakales and his wife Christina and Angelique Alexander and her husband Charles; loving grandmother of John Alexander, Raquel Chakales, Eleni Chakales, and Margaret Alexander; dear sister of Lola Tarleton, George Tsirigotis, and Nicholas Tsirigotis; also survived by extended family and friends.
Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd. (beltway exit 26), on Wednesday, June 11th, from 4 to 8 PM, where a Trisagion Service will be held at 6:30 PM. Mrs. Chakales will lie-in-state at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2504 Cub Hill Road, Baltimore, MD 21234, on Thursday, June 12th, from 10 to 10:30 AM at which time a Funeral Service will begin. Interment Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221, Mattawoman Beantown Rd., Waldorf, MD 20601 at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Demetrios Philoptochos Society at the above address.
