Antonia Correa Lusk's Obituary
Antonia Correa Lusk, 85 of La Plata MD passed away peacefully at her home January 17th 2024. Antonia was born March 21st, 1938 in Morrocco to Diego Correa Mancilla and Antonia Corrales Serrano.
As a young woman she grew up taking care of her grandmother and father. At the age of thirteen she worked at the fish factory to help support her family. Later in life she had a love for music and began performing on stage.
In 1962 she came over to the United States and later met her husband Ray Lusk and together they would go on to celebrate over 55 years of marriage.
Toni was the mother of five children and chose to be a stay-at-home mom. In her free time, she enjoyed playing slot machines, bingo, crocheting, painting, cooking, putting puzzles together and spending time with family and friends. She volunteered as a translator in the women center at CIVISTA hospital and enjoyed many outings with the Red Hatters. In June of 1996 she became a US citizen, and was very proud of this huge accomplishment.
Antonia was predeceased in death by her husband (Ray) parents (Diego and Antonia) sister (Fina) and son (Joseph).
Antonia is survived by her four children; Michael Lusk (Janeen), Anthony Lusk (Lori), Ann Heath (Luke), and Caroline Pikulski (Bill). She was a proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren, Steven, Kelly, Maegan, Kyle, Alex, Alexa Rae, Cody, Billy; and 11 great- grandchildren; Jaidyn, Landon, Jonathan, Ellie, Emelia Rae, Presleigh, Corbin, Raegan, Braxten, Memphis, and Lilly
The family will receive friends on January 30th, 2024 from 10am to 11:30am with prayers 11:30am at Raymond Funeral Chapel at 5635 Washington Ave, La Plata MD, 20646.
Burial will be private for immediate family only.
