Mrs. Barbara Jean Coburn's Obituary
Barbara Jean Coburn, age 72 of La Plata, Maryland died June 20, 2021.
Barbara Jean was a homemaker and life-long resident of Charles County. She was a Waitress at Pancakes Plus in her earlier years. She enjoyed eating crabs, playing LOTTO, and watching the Washington Redskins, the Capitals, the Nationals, and Orioles games. She loved her neighbors (she was often referred to as “Mayor of Caroline Drive”), taking care of her sisters, cooking for and spending time with her great grandchildren, and decorating for every holiday.
She was the daughter of Archie Thomas Welch and Hazel Lillian Welch. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Joanne Lusk; her brothers, Lee Welch and Joe Welch; and her sisters, Linda Welch, Polly Strak, and Margie Welch.
She is survived by her husband, John Begovich; her granddaughter, Kelly Pilkerton (John Allan); her great grandchildren, Presleigh Pilkerton and Corbin Pilkerton; her son-in-law, Tony Lusk; and her nieces and nephews.
