Brenda Dianne Grant's Obituary
Brenda “Dianne” Grant, 78, of La Plata, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, surrounded by her family at MedStar Hospice of Saint Mary’s, Maryland.
Dianne, daughter of James P. and Hazel Bowie of Welcome, was the beloved wife of forty years to Robert “Bob” Grant and the late Joseph “Hoppy” Farrell, Jr. of Newburg. She was a devoted mother to Lisa and Frank Farrell and stepmother to Patricia Ladd (Dwayne) and Paul Grant (Monaca).
She is survived by siblings Donald and James “Mack” Bowie and the late Margret Carol Scott and Gregory Bowie. She cherished her role as grandmother to Jackson Brunder-Renkhoff, Andrew and Brian Grant, and Lauren and Darren Ladd.
A retiree of Charles County Board of Education, Dianne spent her career dedicated to supporting school facilities in her community. In her retirement, she found great joy in RVing, spending winters in Florida with her husband, cruises with friends, cooking with her grandchildren and creating cherished holiday memories with her family.
Visitation and services, led by Pastor Tim Bean of Marbury Baptist Church, will be held at Raymond Funeral Home on August 28th.
She will be deeply missed, but her love and light will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
