CATHY MAY EAST's Obituary
Cathy May East, 71, of Leonardtown, Maryland, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 7, 2026. Born on January 5, 1955, in Virginia to the late Milton Eugene Wolfe, Jr. and Lillie May (Flournoy) Wolfe. Cathy was a devoted mother and cherished grandmother who peacefully went home to be with the Lord. She dedicated her life to sharing God’s love through multiple mission works from the East to the West Coast. She had a passion for photography and enjoyed capturing the beauty of nature. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Anthony East, and her daughter, Sarah Jean Bowling. Cathy is survived by her daughters, Carrie Marie (Steven) Lopacinski of Virginia and Katie (Joey) Gale of Maryland; her four grandchildren, Anna Lopacinski, Thomas Gale, Emily Gale, and Brooke Lopacinski; her sister, Isla (Jim) Wickham; and her brothers, Milton Eugene Wolfe III, Deane (Kathy) Wolfe, and Suzy Wolfe. A homegoing service will be held at Living Word Community Church, Mechanicsville, Maryland, on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Family Viewing at 10:30 am, Public Viewing from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with service at 12 noon. Interment will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf at 1:30 pm. The family welcomes prayers and loving memories in celebration of her life.
