Cecelia Gertrude Savoy, 76, of Fort Washington, Maryland, transitioned from this life to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Cecelia affectionately known as Sissy was born in Washington, DC at Freedman’s Hospital on June 7, 1944 to the late Queen Esther Smith and Louis Burroughs. Cecelia attended Douglas High School and worked for the Prince George County Board of Education for 30 years, retiring in 2009. Cecelia enjoyed traveling with her daughter, music, hand dancing and socializing with friends and family. Cecelia is survived by daughter, Stephanie Martin and sisters Alice Savoy, Shirley Butler, Queen Murphy and Delores Hill and brothers Eugene Smith, Willie Smith, Franklin Smith, LeRoy Smith, Leon Smith and Mark Smith. Visitation For The General Public and Relatives will be held on Friday December, 2020 at the Adams Funeral Home, P.A.
