Charles Frank Beckett Jr. of Victoria, Virginia, formerly from Southern Maryland, died on December 7, 2018. He was 88 years old.
Born on March 7, 1930 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Charles Frank Beckett Sr. and Anna Marie Reardon. Mr. Beckett graduated from McKinley Tech High School in Washington, DC. He worked 37 years with two printing companies in Washington, DC. He was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Beckett was an exceptional baseball player in his younger years and really enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball. He was an avid football fan and loved the Redskins.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jane "Louise" Beckett; son, Mike (Theresa) Beckett; grandsons, Andy (Heather) and Kyle (Anna) Beckett; great granddaughters Ella Rose and Catherine Ann; brother, Thomas (Barbara) Reardon.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 11AM until time for services at 11:30AM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
