Deborah Lynn Moose's Obituary
Deborah “Debi” Lynn Moose passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at VCU hospital in Tappahannock, VA, at the age of 63. She was born on May 19, 1960 in LaPlata, MD and lived majority of her life in Southern MD prior to moving to Dunnsville, VA. She was the daughter of the late James Frazier and late Bonnie Frazier. Debi is survived by her middle school sweetheart and devoted husband of nearly forty eight years, Carroll “PeeWee” Moose. Loving mother to three children; daughter Beverly Moose; sons Adam (Heather) Moose, Brian (Jolene) Moose; four grandchildren Lacie(13), Autumn(12), Aiden(7), Finley(5); siblings J.D. (Mary Beth), Janet (the late Bill) Beall, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews; and many close friends.
Debi worked in the healthcare field almost forty years. Although, semiretired, she continued working at Carrington Place of Tappahannock VA until her untimely passing. She took pride in being a caregiver. She was driven by a passion to help others. Acts of service was her love language. Her family will remember that she never met a stranger. She could initiate a conversation and make new friends instantly. She had a fond love for hummingbirds, flowers, butterflies, and animals. Especially her two cats B.B. and Dusty and German Shepherd, Sheba. Debi enjoyed nightly drives to town with her husband, trips to the casino, yard sales, bingo, playing cards at family gatherings, brunch dates with her dearest friends and was an avid sports fan of the Washington Commanders, although they disappointed her more than she would mention. Nevertheless, she faithfully tuned in to watch them. In 2011, after the birth of her first grandchild, Debi was then more affectionately known to all, as Nana. The Nana title was her glory. Her four grand babies were her ultimate joy. You were certain to find her on the softball, baseball, or soccer field. Adorned in her personalized gear, cheering, and then spoiled them at the concession stand. Debi looked forward to the yearly family vacation. Whether it was going camping, visiting family in the mountains, or heading to the beach. Happiness to her was quality time with her family, regardless of destination. Nana awarded all of the lives she touches with a multitude of cherished memories to hold dear to our heart. She will be forever loved, never forgotten, and greatly missed by many.
Pallbearers will be: Carroll Moose, Adam Moose, Brian Moose, Andy Fox, Dylan Fox and Austin Fox.
