Dorothy Lee “Dottie” Welch, age 39 of Clinton, Maryland, passed away December 1, 2016 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland.
Dottie was a surgical technician, having served seven years in numerous hospitals. She was a member of Calvary Road Baptist Church in Indian Head, Maryland. Her passion was buying and collecting jewelry.
She was predeceased by her mother, Shirley Mae Mills Shackelford.
She is survived by her father, Samuel R. Shackelford; her fiancé, Jimmy Batch, Jr.; her daughter, Gracie Michelle Welch; her brother, Sam R. Shackelford and his wife, Linda; her sister, Lora M. Wakefield and her husband, John; her nephews, Jeff Tolson and Robert Shackelford; and her niece, Victoria Shackelford.
Friends received on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with Funeral Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Interment on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 1:15PM at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
