Douglas Franklin Bramell's Obituary
Douglas Franklin Bramell, 82, of La Plata, Maryland passed on June 14, 2024. Born in Woodbridge, Virginia to Carlton and Clara (Maddox) Bramell.
After high school, Douglas went to work at NSWC, Indian Head as a firefighter. He retired in July, 1993 with 30 years of federal service, 26 years as a firefighter.
His passion in life was always his family. His wife, 2 sons and 3 grandchildren completed his life. His hobbies were woodworking, gardening, and beautiful flower beds.
Douglas is predeceased by his parents, 2 sisters Doris, Carolene and 3 brothers David, Carl and Kenneth. He is survived by his loving wife Trudy, sons Douglas (Fiancée, Robin), Brian (Kristy), grandchildren Grayson, Josie and Kaelyn. Brothers Larry and Carlton (Linda). Many nieces and nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Douglas’ name to the National Federation of the Blind, Attn: Outreach, 200 East Wells Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21230.
Visitation will be held on Monday June 24, 2024 at Raymond Funeral Chapel from 10am until Noon. Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens will follow.
