Edwin Cameron Vincent's Obituary
Edwin “Ed” Vincent, 88, of Welcome, MD passed away February 28, 2025. Born December 10, 1936, in Johnstown, PA, his parents moved to Washington DC where he grew up. Ed graduated from Anacostia High School in 1955 and attended Western Carolina College. He married his high school sweetheart, Dolores Snellings, in 1959. He worked as a salesman most of his life until he opened his own business, County Roofing and Siding Company. Ed played football in high school and college. He also played softball for many years as a pitcher. He loved boating and enjoyed cruising around. As an avid sports fan, Ed enjoyed watching the Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins (Commanders). Everyone loved and knew him as “Big Ed”.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Ruth Vincent. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Dolores, his son, Christopher Vincent (Margaret), his daughter, Shari Tartisel (Robert) and his grandchildren, Jacob, Chris Jr. and Julie. He is also survived by his brother, Tom Vincent (Dottie), his sister, Cheryl Dolinger, and his brother Larry Vincent (Patty) and many nieces and nephews.
