Eileen Margaret Windsor's Obituary
Eileen Margaret Windsor, born Monday, February 3, 1936 in Washington DC to parents David P. Wood Sr. and Hazel V. Stevens Wood, died on Monday, July 1, 2024.
Eileen worked as a budget analyst for the U.S. Department of the Army where she retired and became a Transportation System Operator for the Charles County Board of Education. She was addicted to driving fast and would take on anyone ready to challenge her, she loved to play slot machines, she enjoyed reading, fishing, new cars, traveling and time spent with family.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Joseph Preston and her grandson Christopher Windsor, brother Dave Wood, and sisters Ellen Hubbard and Janet Windsor. She is survived by her sister Jean Willett, and children Sherry, David (wife Barbara), Billy (wife Terry) and Steven (wife Penny). Eileen was blessed with twelve grandchildren – Adam, Diana, Laura, Jaclyn, Joey, Mike, Robin, Robert, TJ, Katy, and Savannah, as well as seventeen great grandchildren, Alyssa, Lily, Erik, Violet, Declan, Gavin, Maddie, Preston, JP, Ryan, Destiny, Dimitri, Cassie, Robbie, Cheyanne, Sabra, and Hazel, and three great-great grands Carsen, Kole, and Maeve.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 11, 2024, 10AM to 12PM, with a funeral service beginning at 12PM at Raymond Funeral Service, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will follow immediately at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown, Waldorf MD, 20601.
