Elizabeth Ann Akers' Obituary
We would like to announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann Akers, a remarkable individual from Waldorf, Maryland, who left this world on May 1,2025, at the age of 56. She was born on September 17, 1968 to George Sanders and Katherine (Bonnie) Bowie Sanders who both proceeded her in death. Elizabeth also honors the memory of her Aunt Bet Pagliaro. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Sara Elizabeth Akers of Charlotte Hall, Maryland her son Joshua Akers of Waldorf, Maryland. She is also mourned by her sister Mindy Marie Sanders of King George, Virginia, along with several nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins who will cherish her legacy. Throughout her diverse career Elizabeth thrived in various roles from real estate to family counseling, where she made meaningful contributions and positively impacted many lives. While she took pride and happiness in her work, her ultimate joy in life was seeing her children succeed in whatever they chose to do in life. She lived every day to its fullest like it was her last, and made sure she did something fun every day. She was a joy to be around and above all a wonderful person. She will be missed most deeply. However, we find solace in knowing she is now at peace.
Memorial service will be held at Raymond’s Funeral Service in La Plata, Maryland May 14,2025. Visitation is from 10:00 am to 11:00 am – service to follow. She will be laid to rest at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, Maryland.
