Elizabeth Ann Waid Morris' Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Waid “Liz” Morris, 73, of Willeyton Road, Gates, NC, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA.
Mrs. Morris was born in Richmond, VA on June 2, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Willie Grayson Waid and Pearl Elizabeth Bruce Green. A retired convenience store manager, she attended Kittrell’s United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Daniel Gordon Morris; a daughter, Kimberly Adkins and husband David of Gates; two sons, Christopher Morris and wife Lori of Martha, OK and Mark Morris and wife Angela of West Plains, MO; two sisters, Hazel Jones of Alabama and Linda Ellis of Maryland; three brothers, William Waid of Virginia, David Waid of Maryland, and Kenneth Waid of North Carolina; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 11, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and will be officiated by the Rev. Terry Williams. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD. Friends may join the family Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
