Eugene Zane Bliss' Obituary
Eugene Zane Bliss (AKA EZ) age 78 of Port Charlette, Florida and formerly Mechanicsville, Maryland passed away on December 20, 2024. He was born on October 5, 1946 in Washington, DC.
Son of Stanley F. and Alice D. Bliss who preceded him in death. Husband of Juanita Bliss who preceded him in death.
Surviving siblings are Stanley A. Bliss (Connie), Wayne T. Bliss (Deloris), and Donna Hemm along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Evelyn Worrel and Wanda Taylor, as well as brother Ernest Bliss.
Zane completed his education at Oxon Hill High School before joining the United States Air Force, serving until June 1969. Following his military service, he began his career at Duke Energy Corp (PEPCO), where he worked for 44 years before retiring and relocating to Port Charlotte, Florida.
A visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 3, 2025, at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, Maryland. The visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.
A graveside service will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 10:30AM.
