Evelyn T. Jameson's Obituary
Evelyn Jameson, a long-time resident of Pomfret, Maryland, passed away peacefully at Sagepoint Assisted Living, in LaPlata on April 26, 2023. She was 95 years old.
Evelyn was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and avid fan and cheerleader to many nephews and nieces who participated in school and private sporting events.
She was born in Pomfret in 1927 to John Winkler and Helen Winkler (nee Adams) and was one of 9 children.
Evelyn and her first husband, Ralph Beatty, had three children, Michael, Helen and Brenda. Her first marriage ended in divorce. In 1977, she married Francis “Mac” Jameson with whom she enjoyed many years together until his death in 1994.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Ralph Michael Beatty (wife Jill), her daughter, Helen Marie Bohle (husband James), grandchildren, Mitch, Douglas, and Nicholas, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews who she adored and with whom she had close and loving relationships. Besides her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda, two grandsons, John Michael Beatty and Jamie Dean Stiles, and eight siblings, including her beloved sister and best friend, Betty.
For many years prior to her residency at Sagepoint, Evelyn was a weekly congregant at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pomfret.
Service and Interment will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
