Fatima Marie Wynn's Obituary
Fatima Marie Wynn, daughter of Alvenia Cooper Wynn and the late Sammy Wynn transitioned to her eternal resting place on Monday, August 21, 2017.
Fatima was born on January 25, 1985 in New York City. Her early education began at Our Lady of the Valley located in Orange, New Jersey as her secondary education was completed at the Chad Science School in Newark, New Jersey. Prior to her debilitating accident in April 2011, Fatima was employed at Newark Liberty International Airport with the Transportation Security Administration. With the gentle spiritual guidance of a co-worker, Fatima began to reconnect with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As Fatima began her journey with Christ the desire to solidify the relationship grew and although she was unable to physically walk to the pool of baptism, Fatima accepted Christ on August 10, 2017.
Loyal “friend” and devoted “aunt” are adjectives that describes the life she lived. Fatima cherished every moment she shared with her nieces and nephews. Her genuine love for her nieces and nephews was constant and unwavering. She was extremely passionate about her monthly outings with her nephew, Jon-Jon in which she cultivated his fondness for extravagant, overpriced sneakers.
Fatima leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved mother, Alvenia Cooper Wynn; brothers, Jonathan McCray Wynn (Yewande’), Eric Sammy Wynn (Kristy); sister, Cassandra Smith; nieces, Ayanna Marie Wynn, Kiersten Hawkins, Kameran Eve Wynn, Karissa Erica Wynn; nephews, Eric Qian Wynn, Jonathan Elijah Wynn and a host of relatives and friends.
Fatima was preceded in death by her father Sammy Wynn.
