Fracnes Louise Willett's Obituary
Frances Louise Willett, age 86 of Nanjemoy, Maryland passed away October 18, 2016 at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland.
Frances was a homemaker who in earlier years worked for the Pakistan Embassy and was known as the “Lunch Lady” where she worked as a cafeteria aide at Nanjemoy Elementary School where she had a special bond with each child. Later, she worked as a school bus driver with Calvin Compton buses for 25 years. She was a member of Potomac Heights Baptist Church where she was known for her operatic voice and was requested to sing at many weddings and funerals. In her youth, she sailed at the President’s Cup Regatta. She enjoyed skating, her beloved pet, Susie, and most of all being at home with her family.
She was the daughter of Reverend James W. McKeown and Frances Louise Good McKeown. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold Edward Willett Sr.
She is survived by her son, Harold Edward Willett Jr.; her daughter, Beverly Ann Willett; her brothers, James W. “Bubba” McKeown Jr. and David Matthew McKeown; her sister, Linda Marie Rothgeb; her grandchildren, Nina, Emma, Diane, and Harold III; and her great-grandchildren, Caleigh, Billy, Ty, and Natalie.
Friends received on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with Funeral Service at 6:30PM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646, officiated by Reverend Steve Davis. Graveside Service on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 11AM at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
