Franklin Roosevelt Jones' Obituary
Franklin (Frank) Roosevelt Jones, affectionally known to family as "Tick", was born on October 3, 1937 to the late James Arthur Jones and Essie White Jones. He peacefully departed this life on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at his home.
Frank attended Nash County Public Schools, after which he joined the U.S. Army in 1953. After two years in the U.S. Army, Frank moved to Washington, DC where he began different jobs until he landed a permanent job at Division Avenue Hardware. After years at Division Avenue Hardware Frank began working in the Maintenance Department at Fort Chaplain Apartments on East Capitol Street, NE, Washington, DC in 1983. Frank and his wife, Pandoria, enjoyed traveling. They often visited Myrtle Beach, SC, Jamaica, Punta Cana, Nashville, several Caribbean islands while on cruises, timeshare resorts in Massanutten and Williamsburg, Virginia, and the beautiful mountains in the North.
