Helena Catherine Paulk's Obituary
Helena Catherine Paulk, 88, of Marbury, Maryland, passed away on September 14, 2016 at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
Born on June 28, 1928 in Cleveland, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Anderson and Goldie Dove Powers Anderson. Mrs. Paulk was a long time member of Marbury Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was a bookkeeper for Ely’s Department Store in Indian Head. And was the manager of the Shopper Stopper Grocery in Indian Head. She was a loving and compassionate mother, devoted to her family, friends and her church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Paulk is preceded in death by her husbands Harold Fred Berry and Fisher Boyd Paulk; her son Robert L. Berry.
She is survived by her sons Harold E. Berry, Craig D. Berry and wife Claire, James F. Berry and wife Barbara; her two daughters Brenda K. Bastain and husband Butch, Karen Purdy and husband Achim; her sister Iris D. Ferrell; also survived by ten grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Friends received on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM with Prayers at 7:00PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, MD 20646 where Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 11AM. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
