HENRY RAIMUND GRONAU, JR. age 35 of Waldorf, Maryland
Henry Raimund Gronau Jr, lovingly known as Dex, was born on March 19, 1985 in Washington D.C. to the Late Henry R. Gronau Sr and Deborah A. Gronau.
On Friday March 12, 2021 Dex was welcomed into Heaven by his Father who proceeded him in death along with his Grandmothers Carrie E. Hoe and Margaret M. Brooks, Aunt Alonda El Amin, Uncle Raymond Thompson Jr and Cousins Jerame Swann and Joshua Jones.
Dex is survived by his loving wife Shadonna, his two beautiful children Keyon and Kylah, his devoted mother Deborah, his three loving sisters Anytra, Carytta and Lyzette as well as his brother in laws Louis, Mathis and Christopher, his Mother in Law Melissa, Father in Law Donald, Sister in Law Janelle her Fiancé Ricky also his Nieces Jamiyah, Ja’nayla, and Angel and Nephews Jameke, Cameron, Jerame and also his nephew /Godson Ayden.
Dex was the only son and had a special bond with his Mother. His childhood was full of love, laughter, sports, family trips and time with his cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Anyone that knew Dex always saw him with a smile, nice drink, and a funny joke. He knew somebody everywhere he went. He was easily noticed by being the tallest person in the room. His personality was always welcoming, generous, protective over those he loved and always willing to challenge someone with a geography question.
In 2004 Dex met the love of his life Shadonna and they later would have two beautiful children named Keyon and Kylah, he loved being a father and giving his parents grandchildren. In 2018 Dex and Shadonna got married and had their dream wedding in Las Vegas. Dex loved to travel and take his children to places he only dreamt of as a kid. He was afraid of heights but conquered his fear of flying because he knew had to show his kids the how beautiful this country could be. He loved visiting historical sights which included the Lizzie Borden House in Massachusetts and The Bonnie and Clyde car in Nevada.
Dex was an accomplished business owner who exceeded his goals in work and family. He understood that if you want something in life you have to work hard for it.
He will truly be missed by his family and friends! We all love you Dex! Rest Easy and we will see you when we get there!!!!
