James Lewis Ashwell's Obituary
James Lewis Ashwell, 73, of Waldorf, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the BridgePoint Hospital National Harbor in Washington, DC.
Born on February 28, 1947 in Lynchburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late James Lewis Ashwell and Ruth C. Ashwell. James was a General Contractor who owned and operated his own roofing and construction company. He enjoyed old cars, listening to Motown music, fishing, watching football and baseball, spending time with his family and beloved dog, Peppy.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son Kevin Ashwell.
James is survived by his wife Carol Ashwell; children Patrick Keating and his wife Heather Keating, Christopher Keating, and his fiancée Daniella Scalise, Jennifer Jett and her husband Michael Jett; grandchildren Sydney Keating, Morgan Keating, Katelyn Keating, Violet Keating, Lily Keating, Abigail Jett and Nicholas Jett.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic situation, funeral service and interment will be limited to immediate family only. The family extends their regrets that they will be without your friendship and physical comfort. We do sincerely hope that Celebration of James’ life will be possible in the future.
