James (Jim) Hoyle Everhart, Jr.
October 9, 1946 – August 30, 2025
James (Jim) Hoyle Everhart, Jr. of Mechanicsville, Maryland, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Everhart, Sr. and Vivian Juanita Thomas Everhart. Jim was born in Newport News, Virginia.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife of thirteen years, Deborah Alred Everhart and his children, Karen Latoya Everhart, Jennifer Lee Everhart, James Hoyle Everhart III (Norma Everhart), stepson Charles R.J. Vinyard, and grandchildren, Troy and Avery Everhart, Savannah Davis, Camden Everhart, Taylor Bates, and Charles Thomas Vinyard, and his sister, Marie Cagle.
Jim served his country in the Navy from 1963 through 1967 and was a disabled veteran. Jim became an experienced realtor who won multiple sales awards. He represented several real estate companies, including L.K. Farrall, Century 21, and retired with REMAX 100.
Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and spending time with his family. Jim’s presence will be deeply missed by his loved ones and will remain in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM with a Funeral Service to follow from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM on Monday, September 8, 2025, at New Life Chapel in LaPlata, 9690 Shepherds Creek Place, Maryland 20646. Interment will be at 2 PM at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland, 20601.
