Jared L Mansfield's Obituary
Jared Lee Mansfield, 32, of Leonardtown, MD passed away on August 14, 2020.
Jared was born on June 2, 1988 in Brunswick, Maine and was the son of Frederick Mansfield, Jr., and Noreen Mansfield.
After graduating from high school, Jared developed a lifelong bond with Chef and business owner Rob Plant. Rob mentored Jared in the field of culinary arts and was always there to support Jared through the years.
Jared also enjoyed being outside working in landscaping and on custom boulder projects with his Dad.
Jared had a very kind heart, was always willing to help others. He had a close relationship with Carolyn Cullison, Executive Director of On Our Own of St. Mary’s County. He was a dedicated speaker at the Southern Maryland Crisis Intervention Team Coalition Training which provides intensive, hands-on training to deputies, correctional officers, and emergency communications 911 dispatchers. The program is to teach crisis teams how to assist persons experiencing a mental health crisis with an efficient, respectful, and compassionate approach.
In addition to his loving parents, Jared is survived by his step-mother, Patti Mansfield, his grandparents, Frederick and Charlene Mansfield of Gambrills, MD and John and Sylvia Lewis of Tyrone, PA, his step-brothers, Joshua and Jason Decker, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jared will be missed immensely by his family.
Jared will be buried on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Trinity Memorial Gardens in a private ceremony at 10:00 AM.
