John Robert Boswell Jr.'s Obituary
John (Johnny) Robert Boswell Jr, age 76, of La Plata MD, passed away Peacefully on July 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving Family.
Johnny is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Ann Boswell; sons, John Boswell III and wife Joanne Boswell, Ricky Boswell (Nikole Bassett), and Mike Boswell (Jaimee Ludka); brother Roy Boswell; sisters, Patsy Walker, Susabell Baker and Ann Dixon; grandsons, Mikey Jr, Ryan, Cory, and Ricky Jr; granddaughter, Amber Boswell (Honorary: Emily, Hailey, Riley, Adelyn, and Kristalyn Webb). He was also deeply loved by many nieces and nephews.
Johnny was a man who found great joy in the outdoors. He enjoyed soaking up the sun, operating heavy equipment, and working in the garden. He was a proud member of The Moose Lodge, a fan of Budweiser, and always the life of the party when it came time to dance the night away.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, John and Thelma Boswell; his brother Spanky Boswell; sister Nancy Allison; and two cherished grandsons, Robbie and Nicholas “Nick Nick” Underwood -Boswell.
Pallbearers will be Mikey Jr, Ryan, and Cory Boswell, Wayne Allison, Eddie Dixon and William “Grassman” Murphy. Honorary pallbearers will include Amber and Ricky Jr Boswell.
Johnny’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
