John "Woody" Edward Proctor's Obituary
On Tuesday, July 14, 2020 John “Woody” Edward Proctor, passed away at the age of 76 and was called home to be with the Lord. Woody was born on September 4, 1943 to the late Renzie Joseph and Mary Lucy Proctor. Woody was born and raised in Prince Georges County, Maryland where he attended Prince Georges County Public Schools. On April 4, 1964, he was joined in union with Judy Diana Thompson. Woody worked for the Charles County Public School system and after retiring he continued his passion of spending time with family, enjoying cookouts, camping, and building race cars with his sons. Woody was preceded in death by his parents Renzie and Mary Proctor, his son Kenneth Bernard Proctor, Sr, his grandson, Kendull Proctor, his brother Ronald Proctor, and his sisters, Mary Thompson, and Elnora Butler. He is survived by his wife Judy, his 5 Children Teresa, Angela, John, Julie, and Kevin. His brothers, Sammy, Earl, and Gene; sisters Lucille, Rose, and Helen and a host grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday July 23, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 Saint Mary’s Ave, La Plata, Maryland 20646 from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. There will be a private interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, Maryland
