Joseph Earl Connor's Obituary
Joseph ‘Earl’ Connor was the youngest of (3) three children born to the late Joe and Barbara Connor in York, South Carolina on May 27, 1964.Joseph fell asleep in death on March 23, 2025.
Joseph attended and graduated from Clover High School in 1982. Thereafter, he was awarded a basketball scholarship by Presbyterian
College in Clinton, South Carolina. While pursuing his studies in Psychology, Joseph also pledged Epsilon Gamma Gamma of
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc in 1985.
Joseph migrated to Washington, DC in March of 2009 for career opportunities and a renew start on life. Joseph met Molita in December
of 2010 and they married on December 11, 2012. Together they founded Progressive Phlebotomy Services, LLC in March of 2013.
Standing at 6’5”, with an infectious bright smile, Joseph was an avid sport lover of all genres, who especially loved and cheered the
loudest for the Miami Dolphins. He enjoyed rock music and grilling for family and friends. His humor and charming personality made everyone comfortable, which created a magnetic presence. Joseph’s devotion to family was unwavering and he worked timelessly to support them and prioritize their needs.
Joseph remained faithful until the end, demonstrating resilience and determination to honor God. He leaves a legacy of faith, optimism and kindness.
After a brief and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Joseph passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. He is survived by his devoted wife Molita, daughter Jolysa Connor of Atlanta, GA, son Joseph Connor Jr; of Charlotte, NC; bonus daughter Tyler Coleman (Doyle) of White Plains, MD; sister Kathy McClure-George (Kola) of Lancaster, SC; nieces Shonte’ B. Boyd (Donte’) of Gastonia, NC and Kacey K. Boyd of Clover, SC; nephews Kola D. George and James D. George both of Charleston, SC; brothers-in-laws Vernie Boyd of Clover, SC and Shelton D. Dawson of Washington, DC; sisters-in-law Denise Hampton of Washington, DC and Connettia Williams (Christopher) of Lanham, Maryland; great-nieces Laila Jackson of Gaston, NC, Nyasia Boyd and Kyleigh Douglas of Clover, SC; great-nephew Luke Jackson of Gaston; relative-in-laws Dareon Paris, Marche’ Hampton, Derrick Hampton and Sidney Hampton; and a host of other family and friends.He is preceded in death by his eldest sister Granita M. Boyd
Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again
