Obituary for Joseph "Joe" Edward Crowl
Joseph “Joe” Edward Crowl 66 of Newburg Maryland passed away on July 8, 2026 at his home. Born on November 12, 1959 in Canton Ohio to the late Carl and Mildred "Millie"
Crowl.
Joe was a big family man, who loved his wife Brenda of 45 years, children and grandchildren to the fullest. He is survived by this three children daughter Kristy (Dale) Proctor, granddaughters Shelby and Savanna, son Steven (Jess) Crowl, grandchildren Shane, Chase and Allie, daughter Taylor (Devante) Craig, grandchildren Aiden and a little one on the way in January.
Joe was a huge sports fan, including Ohio State Buckeyes, Washington Capitals, and Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed going to concerts, a cold Coors light, swimming in the pool with his family, spending the weekends watching the sports games and enjoying a yearly summer vacation in the Outer Banks.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years. He currently worked for Capital Welding as an estimator.
He is survived by his brother Carl Crowl, and two sisters, Bonnie Snyder and Barb Ferguson. He is preceded in death by his sister Carol Duckworth and brother Jim Crowl.
The family will receive friends on Monday July 20, 2026 from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm, with a funeral service at 11:00am on Tuesday July 21, 2026 at Raymond Funeral Service P.A. 5635 Washington Ave La Plata Maryland. Burial will take place following the funeral service at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Rd, Waldorf, Maryland with Military Honors.
