Joseph Gerard Sr. of La Plata, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday April 13, 2022 at his residence. Born on April 2, 1960 in Washington, DC. to the late James Donald Garner, Sr. and Audrey Coombs Garner. Joseph worked for the town of La Plata for 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, playing the lottery, bingo, and spending time with his family. Along with his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his brother James Donald Garner, Jr. Joseph is survived by his wife Lorene Garner as well as his son Joseph G. Garner, Jr., his daughter Yvette Rosas, his brother Jeffrey S. Garner, and his sisters Vicki Long and Lori Ann Garner. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
