Joyce Ann Schirmacher's Obituary
Joyce was reunited with the love her life, David Schirmacher on 7/7/23. They met in the US Navy and married in Jacksonville, Florida in 1958. She was born 6/28/36 in Jeffersonville Indiana and was the 2nd child of 8 babies. She was the first child to survive birth from Willie Marie and Kalfus Ervin Yager. She retired from the St. Mary's school system as a teacher's assistant , substitute teacher and part-time until covid. Her car license plate frame read " Starve with dignity, be a teacher."
She was a proud American and would only see the good in people, always willing to help. She loved holidays as those would bring the family together for great food, fun and reminiscing. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her younger siblings , Karolyn, Kay and Kenneth , her sons Steve , Scott and John, and granddaughter Lily. She was preceded in death by her husband Dave 12/2010 and her daughter Susan 10/1963.
Funeral arrangements will be private.
