Kendra Cherrice Gibson's Obituary
November 26, 1990, Kendra Cherrice Gibson was born to Barbara Jackson and Jeffery Gibson in Washington DC at Columba Hospital for women . They lived in Prince Georges County, Maryland, until Kendra was 3 years old. At that time, they relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Kendra dedicated her life to GOD at an early age. She attended From The Heart Church
Ministries (FTHCM), Harrisburg, and was involved in several ministries over the years. As an
adult, she joined the St. John’s Baptist Church, Columbia, MD, where she was a faithful and
dedicated member.
Kendra graduated from SciTech High School in the Harrisburg School District. She graduated in 2009 with a full academic scholarship to Penn State University and received a dual bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing in 2013. Later she earned her master’s degree from the University of Maryland University College. Kendra was gainfully employed at Giant Food Corporation as an e-Commerce Manager and was the owner of several businesses.
Kendra was a dedicated and loving mom to her 6-year-old son, an amazing daughter, sister,
niece, cousin, and friend. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Barbara Jackson and Jeffery Gibson; son, Hiram
Knight (Brian Knight); sister, Carryn Queeley-Gibson; God Brother, Romeo Mack (Marcus);
aunts, Deborah Eades, Eura Gibson, and Evelyn Bonner; uncles, Willie Jackson, and Gerald
Eades; a host of loving cousins and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Barbara Ford, Willie Jackson, Sr.; Dewey and Annie Jean Gibson.
