Linda Joyce Beech's Obituary
Linda “Joyce” Beech, 75, of White Plains, Maryland, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center.
Joyce was born on September 3, 1944 in Calhoun, Georgia. Joyce moved to Maryland at the age of 18 to marry William Beech. She went to work at the National Mediation Board in Washington, DC where she served as an Administrative Assistant for 35+years. She was a long-time member of the Faith Baptist Fellowship Church in White Plains, Maryland.
Joyce was a loving wife, caring mother and doting grandmother who never lost her southern hospitality. Joyce was always quick to welcome you into her house with a glass of sweet tea and make you feel right at home.
She is survived by her husband, William Beech; two daughters, Pamela Brown and Shana Kumbar; son- in-law, Nathan Kumbar; six grandchildren, Madeline Brown, Ethan Kumbar, Logan Cecil, Eli Kumbar, Alaina Cecil, and Ean Kumbar; a brother, Terry Martin of Cartersville, Georgia; sister, Judy Abercrombie of Adairsville, GA; and multiple nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hughdon and Cloma Grace Martin and beloved sister Mabel Haygood.
She will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
