Loretta Ann McKenzie's Obituary
Loretta Ann (Leslie) McKenzie, 66, of Waldorf, Maryland passed away on April 23, 2024 at the Hospice of the Chesapeake in Waldorf.
She was born in Washington D.C. on September 8, 1957 to the late Carl Edward Leslie and the late Leonardine M (Terascavage) Leslie.
Loretta was a Mathematical Statistician/Computer Programmer at the United States Census Bureau for 33 years after graduating from Loyola College in Baltimore with a degree
In Mathematics. She received a Masters in Survey Methodology from the University of Maryland. Loretta retired from the U.S. Census Bureau in 2011. She was an avid Shirley Temple doll
collector of the 1930’s and 1950’s and a photographer.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Elliott McKenzie of Waldorf, Maryland. She is also survived by her four children: Joel Elliott McKenzie, Jonathan Carl McKenzie, Jennifer Lynne McKenzie,
and Caroline Elizabeth McKenzie.
She is also survived by her brother Carlton Lee Leslie and sister-in-law Theresa (Flaig) Leslie, her niece Jamie (Leslie) Wilson, nephew Ryan Leslie, and nephew Bryce
Leslie.
A memorial service will be held in July, 2024.
