Marcus Vontrel Jackson “Prince” November 26, 1990 - March 12, 2026
Marcus was born on November 26, 1990, in Frankfurt, Germany. He was raised in Shallotte, North Carolina where he attended and graduated from West Brunswick High school. He earned a basketball scholarship that took him to Hagerstown and then to Saint Augustine University. After graduating with his bachelors, Marcus decided to study abroad, in Paris, to earn a double master's in graphic design and business.Marcus lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He was known to many as “Prince,” a testament to the deep affection and respect he inspired in all who knew him. His charismatic character, infectious spirit and outgoing demeanor was the epitome of who he was. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Shallotte, NC and would frequently attend LifePoint Church in Waldorf, Md.Marcus, a Fall 2013 initiate of the Gamma Omicron Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi—known as “The Beast of the Middle East” left a lasting impact on his chapter and the entire Middle Eastern Province. Widely recognized as “The Fresh Prince” of KAOS Kontrol he carried himself with unmatched charisma, originality, and swagger. As the TAIL and the distinguished #9, Marcus brought a commanding presence that elevated those around him. His line brothers Ramaan Ansley, Da’Lon Scott, Jacques Griffen, Donald Carey Jr., Anthony Battle, Benjamin Baker, Tayeon Alexander, and Robert Brown shared in a legacy strengthened by his influence and leadership.Marcus was deeply loved and respected by brothers throughout the Middle Eastern Province and especially revered within the Gamma Omicron Chapter. His impact went beyond titles he helped shape the culture of his chapter, set a high standard, and inspired others to walk with confidence and purpose. His presence was magnetic, and his ability to connect, lead, and uplift made him not only well-known, but unforgettable.In Spring 2016, Marcus continued his legacy as the New Member Coordinator of The Gamma Omicron Chapter, introducing 5 Brothers into his great Fraternity. Affectionately known as SIKK (Skrollers Intellectual Krossroads to Kappaland), mentoring Jaquan Leary (RiKKy RiKardo), Deondre Miller (Kuntry Grammer), Zamir Andrews (KodaKK), Michael Allen Jr. (Kaution “Lavenio”), and Denard Haney (TAILored Kut). Through his guidance, he poured into the next generation, ensuring his influence would live on. Marcus was more than a brother he was a standard, a leader, and a lasting force within Kappa Alpha Psi.Outside of his love for family, his greatest joy was becoming a dad. Fatherhood set him on a transformative journey that reframed his life's purpose, demanding patience and resilience while offering profound love and a lasting legacy.He was preceded in death by his son, Adrian Kai Jackson; grandparents Edna and Chester Jackson, Sr. , Carlene and Gordon Martin, Sr.; uncles Frank George, Sidney Jackson, Sr., and Oney Franklin, Sr.; aunts Louise Watts and Marcella Williams.Marcus leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his daughter Gianna Rose “GiGi” Williams Jackson, parents, Brenda (Angelo) Callaham, Lyndon and Taleeta Jackson; five sisters, Jasmine (Aaron) Wallace (Kidd), Talia Jackson (Boobie), Latavia Jackson (Monea), Jaelyn Jackson (Nicole) and Mariah Jackson (Cita); two nephews, Dante Jones, Jr. (Fat), and Aaron Wallace, Jr. (AJ); one niece, Ariah Wallace (Ham); sibling/cousins, DeAdra (Samuel) Boykin (Sharda), Brittany Martin (Lou), Kdijah Hewett (Sissy), Jamoan Brown (Moan), and Mary Franklin (Mary Berry); seven uncles, Gordon Martin, Jr. (Jr), James (Lula) Jackson, Edward Jackson, Chester (Helen) Jackson, Ezekiel (Minnie) Jackson, Craig Jackson, and John (Natalie) Jackson; eight aunts, Mary Dailey, Beatrice Davis, Lillie King, Mattie B.
