Margaret Ann Canter's Obituary
Margaret Ann Canter (Miller), 83, departed this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born August 3, 1939 in Washington, DC to the late Samuel M Miller and Helen G Stauffer.
On August 4, 1956, Margaret married her forever love, Allan Bruce Canter, Sr. Together they celebrated over 62 years of marriage and raised five children. She is survived by her children Georgine Cox (Jimmy), Allan B Canter, Jr. (Brenda), Denise A Canter (John Mattingly), Laurie A Canter (Billy Tucker), Kristi A Frischholz (Dennis), six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Logan Miller.
Always greeting you with a smile, Margaret was an accomplished seamstress, gardening enthusiast, and NASCAR fan. A lifelong child of God, she opened her door and touched many lives, always offering a helping hand and often a place to call home. She had many roles with the church over the years including co-founder, Secretary of the Treasury, and was an integral part of the children’s ministry. Margaret's greatest joy was her family as she loved nothing more than the time spent with them.
A graveside service is to be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland. Pallbearers- Jimmy Cox, Allan Canter Jr, John Mattingly, Billy Tucker, Dennis Frischholz, and. Erik Kjonnerod.
