Margaret Dash's Obituary
Margaret Dash, of District Heights, Maryland, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life. Margaret was born on September 11, 1945, in Orangeburg, SC. After graduating from Orangeburg High School, she later relocated to Maryland in the early 1970's. While living in Maryland, she had a career and retired from the Safeway Ice Cream Corporation.
She was the daughter of the late Mattie and George Dash, Sr. Margaret was the third of her siblings, Vernell, Mary, the late George, Jr., and Barbara. She had six children: Trudi, Albert (Stanley), Deidre, Craig (deceased), Bruce (Jenna) and Kymberly. She was very proud of her children's accomplishments. Margaret also had four grandchildren: Cheree, Courtney, Jamaal, and Cori, and one great granddaughter, Ryan.
Margaret enjoyed surrounding herself with her family, her title of mom and nanny is a badge she wore proudly. Always providing love and support. She had a beautiful smile that would light up the room.
She loved to cook and have family gatherings. Seafood, fish, mussels, along with her chicken and wild rice casserole were a few of her favorite foods to eat.
Every national holiday, she loved to make her signature drinks, Bahama Mama or Fuzzy Navel for her girls and prepared special meals for her sons.
Margaret will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her family. May she rest in Peace knowing that she touched the lives of many and left behind a legacy of love and warmth.
