Marian Elizabeth Payne's Obituary
Marian Elizabeth Payne, 62, of Waldorf, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2024 at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.
Born on December 28, 1961 in La Plata, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas Payne and Margaret Virginia Payne. She was also mother to the late Danny Dorsey, grandma to the late Calian Goldsbrough, and sister to the late Jean Coates and Walter Lee McGill.
A homemaker and mom, Marian enjoyed reading, her cats and spending time with “her girls”.
Marian is survived by her daughter Danielle Dorsey and her husband Pete Buchanan; surviving siblings Denise Reavis and James McGill; grandchildren Andrea Dorsey, Jamie Dorsey, Paige Dorsey, nieces Christina Gutshall, Jessie Forrest, BJ Bennett and Betsy Chase and their families.
A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10AM until time of memorial service at 11AM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
