Marion Hazel Jarmon's Obituary
Marion Hazel Jarmon was born on October 27, 1948, in Charles County, Maryland, to the late Blanche I. King and James H. Key. She was educated in the Charles County Public Schools System and graduated from Pomonkey High School in Pomfret, MD. After graduating from high school, she attended business school and began her career in the Federal government at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. She specialized in the shipment of military weapons. Over the course of her career, Marion was elevated to management and received numerous performance and special act awards and accolades for her hard work and dedication. She later retired from Joint Base Andrews in Prince Georges County, Maryland in 2007.
Marion was joined in holy matrimony to Clifford E. Jarmon on August 28, 1971. From this union, they had a son, Lance C. Jarmon.
Marion was a loving person, always positive, always offering words of encouragement and thinking of others. Marion loved her grandboys – Lance Jr., Logan and Liam (the triplets). She loved spending time with family, playing games and eating crabs.
She was a member of From The Heart Church Ministries. Marion had a heart of GOLD always helping others.
Marion peacefully crossed over to God’s Kingdom on October 5, 2023 at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Maryland surrounded by her family.
In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her six brothers, Raymond, Harrison, Leroy, Edward, and Jerome King, and Lawrence Munson; and three sisters Doris Mae King-Miles, Eleanor Travers-Newman and Atla Patricia Brawner; two brothers-in law James Jarmon, Jr. and Herman Jarmon; and one sister-in-law Evelyn Jarmon.
She leaves to celebrate and cherish her memory her devoted husband of 52 years, Clifford E. Jarmon; a loving son, Lance C. Jarmon (Kalandria); three grandsons, Lance Jr., Logan and Liam; a sister, Delores E. Johnson (Herbert “Buddy”); three sisters-in-law, Katie Barnes (Theodric), Pearley and Debra Jarmon; three brothers-in-law, Lawrence, Wayne and Willie Jarmon (Marjorie); godchildren, Tennille and Marcus Daniels. One great aunt Eudora Chisley and host of loving nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.
Viewing, 11:30 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2023, until time of Service, 12:30 p.m., at From The Heart Ministries, 4949 Allentown Road, Camp Springs, Maryland 20746. Interment, Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
