Obituary for Mary Ann Clarke
Mary Ann Clarke passed away peacefully in Vero Beach, Florida on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the age of 87. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life.
Mary was born in Washington, D.C.on September 30, 1930 to Mildred & John Robertson. She was the first of six children.
For thirty-five years, Mary was employed at the U.S. Senate. She retired as a Mail Room Supervisor.
Reading was a daily passion. Mary loved music, collecting seashells and gardening in her younger years. Mary was a courageous woman. She was a single parent. Undoubtedly, her family was her greatest achievement.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Robertson, sister, Margaret Johnson, and daughter, Dolly Meetre. Mary is survived by her two daughters, Doris Giesing (Edward) and Donna Beck of the Treasure Coast of Florida. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters, Mildred Ballard (Gene), Dee Walesby (Phil), Marie Olmsted, grandchildren, Edward J. & Ronald Giesing, Dawn Miller, Jerry Wenger, Kim Osborn, Jack, Joseph & William Smith, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
