MAURICE STEPHEN HINDLE's Obituary
Maurice Stephen Hindle, 81 of Berryville, Virginia died Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Lynn Care Center, Front Royal, Virginia.
Steve was born November 2, 1944 in LaPlata, Maryland, the son of the late Maurice Cecil Hindle and Virginia Dare Wedding Hindle Bowie.
He worked for Securitas Security Services and was a very hard worker, still working until his illness.
He served in the US Army from 1964 – 1988.
Steve was a member of Berryville Baptist Church where he was very active and served as a deacon.
He is survived by his son, Vasant Stephen Hindle and wife, Michelle Dal Pont of Montereale Valcellina, Italy; grandson, Matthew Hindle; granddaughter, Karissa Hindle; siblings, Betty Mitchell of Norfolk, VA, Eileen Hardesty of Laurel, MD, Randy Bowie (Rhonda) of Marbury, MD, Rita Thomas of Rehobeth Beach, DE, Anita Bowie-Marsh (Todd) of NC and Clifton Bowie (Michelle) of Mechanicsville, MD; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by three sisters, Eunice Hewitt, Catherine Crowe, Esther Ganoe and three brothers, Norris Hindle, David Bowie and Mike Bowie.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 12, 2025 at Berryville Baptist Church with Rev. Tyler Phillips officiating.
