Michael Emilio Farri's Obituary
Michael Emilio Farri, 35, of La Plata, MD passed away suddenly on December 9, 2022.
Michael was born on May 18, 1987 in Silver Spring, MD to Sharon Ann (Welch) and Louis James Farri.
Michael was a skilled and talented self-employed barber. He was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local 5. He enjoyed working with wood and building things. Growing up he was an adventurous dare devil. He enjoyed fishing, and loved being on the water. He liked to draw and paint. He took great pride in his appearance; always looking “fresh”, neatly groomed, with coordinating clothing and shoes. He would customize his shoes and design his own clothing.
Michael’s favorite number was 32 as a tribute to his father who was a Fire Fighter #32. He was very proud of his father and honored him by showing off the number 32 in any way that he could. He loved children especially babies. He was a kind, caring, loving, and sensitive man who will be missed by all who knew him.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Louis James Farri, paternal grandparents; Emilio Richard and Dorothy Lorraine (Cook) Farri, maternal grandparents; Roger DeSales and Dorothy Adeline (Robey) Welch, and uncle, Dennis Roger Welch.
Michael is survived by his mother, Sharon Ann (Welch) Farri, sister, Angeline “Angie” Nicole Farri, children; Lexington “Lex” Louis Farri, Bailey Monroe Herrold-Farri, and Bella Rose Herrold, half-sister; Jeanna Marie (Farri) Durand, niece, Zoey “Zo Zo” Grace Reid, nephew, Jayden “Jay Jay” James Reid, uncles; Anthony “Tony” Farri, Michael Angelo Farri, Joseph Farri, and Vincent Farri, aunts; Carol Kleinsorge, and Teresa Raulin, his close cousin, Andrea Mardis, and her children; Brandon, Nathan, Katie, and Lauren, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of Service at 12:00 PM, at Raymond Funeral Service, 5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
