Michael Lin Stewart's Obituary
Michael Lin Stewart, 64, of La Plata, Maryland, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 22, 2021 at his home.
Born on September 3, 1957 in Columbia, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Richard Cecil Stewart and Ollie Gwen Della Stewart. Mike was a member of the Iron Workers Union for ten years before he opened his own business as a general contractor and owner of SCH Repair Services. He was the “life of the party," enjoying dancing, doo-wop music, traveling, adventuring, trying new restaurants, watching cooking shows, reading magazines, attending tractor shows and auctions, and always helping others. Mike’s greatest love was his family – they meant the world to him.
Mike is survived by his wife of over 17 years, Mary Ann Stewart; daughters Melissa Kellstrom, Kelly (Jeremy) Smith, and Kristen Clemons (Chris); son David (Robin) Kellstrom; grandchildren Londyn, Mackenzie, Mason and Emilia; sisters Gail (John) Hein and Regina (Robert) Shreeves; aunts Cutine Waugh, Udine Veal, Linda Phillips, and Shirley Harthun; uncle Joel Phillips; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 6PM to 8PM and on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 10AM until time of service at 12 Noon at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Entombment to follow in the Mausoleum at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
Family requests that those attending the visitation and service for Mike, to please wear casual attire, including jeans, if desired.
