Muriel Elizabeth Richardson 's Obituary
Muriel Elizabeth Richardson, 89, of Aquasco, Maryland, passed away at home on April 27, 2020.
Muriel was the oldest child born of Gus and May Reimers on July 6, 1930. They lived on Long Island in New York. A favorite childhood memory was trips to Jones Beach with friends. Her first job was as a secretary at Radio City Music Hall and she had to ride the subway into town from the island every day. She met the one and only love of her life, Leonard, at a friend’s wedding. It was love at first site, they were engaged in March and married later that year on August 23, 1958. He moved her to Maryland and Muriel went from being a city girl to a farm girl. Together they had three children Cheryl (Mark), Lee Jr (Carrie), and Kim (Tommy), who in turn gave them seven beautiful grandchildren: Mitchell (Chelsea), Heather (Wayne), Caitlin, Lauren (Chris), Ross, Lee III, and Brandon. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Mackenzie. Muriel’s whole world was her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She truly was everything the word “Mom” could ever mean, all rolled up into one amazing woman. She had a long, full life with many blessings. She will be missed by her family and friends more than words can express.
Services and interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Second Hope Rescue, P O Box 137, Leonardtown, MD 29650.
